About Rebecca

RA 2945 BW

REBECCA J. ALLEN grew up with her nose stuck in magical stories like A Wrinkle in Time and The Hobbit, nervously turning pages to find out whether the characters would be brave and resourceful enough to save the day. She rediscovered her love of magical books while reading to her kids.

Now, she writes middle-grade stories that blend mystery and adventure and young adult stories with heroines much braver than she is. Her middle-grade mysteries Showtime Sabotage and Math Test Mischief were published under the pseudonym Verity Weaver by Jolly Fish Press.

Rebecca is also a freelance business writer. She has served as a judge for the CYBILS book awards and blogs about books and writing at TheWingedPen.com. She’s also on Twitter and Instagram as @RebeccaJ_Allen.
